Case summary
Former coordinator of Alexei Navalny headquarters in Voronezh. On 1 December 2022, his parents' house was searched, Karpov himself left Russia. A case was initiated against him for discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. In January 2023, Voronezh journalist Fyodor Orlov was searched as part of this case. In March, the search again came to Karpov's parents. The activist was put on a wanted list. In September 2023, Karpov was added to the register of "foreign agents". On 21 November 2024, his parents were visited again, his sister and ex-wife were summoned for questioning. In January 2025, Karpov's relatives were summoned for questioning in a new case - on evasion from fulfilling the duties of a "foreign agent".
