Case summary

A resident of Zheleznovodsk (Stavropol Krai). She was prosecuted for discrediting the Armed Forces because of a comment condemning the invasion of Ukraine, which she published in a chat room of publicist Alexander Nevzorov's Telegram channel.

In March 2025, the case went to trial. On 6 May 2025, Kazantseva was sentenced to two and a half years' suspended sentence with a probation period of two years and a ban on administering websites, forums, chat rooms and groups on social networks for two and a half years.
