Case summary

On July 31, 2011, on the eve of the rally and march as part of Strategy-31 in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, officers from the Center "E" conducted a search at the headquarters of the "The Other Russia" party in connection with a criminal case initiated on July 24. The case was related to the distribution of extremist materials during the party's promotional events. The organizers of the upcoming action, Anton Lukin and Svetlana Kuznetsova, were detained, and office equipment and printed materials were confiscated from their residences. On November 4, 2011, Centre "E" officers again detained Lukin and Kuznetsova and brought them to the Investigative Committee. On November 10, Lukin was charged by the prosecutor's office under Part 1 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code following a confrontation with Kuznetsova. Kuznetsova received a one-and-a-half-year probationary sentence.
