Case summary
A resident of Smolensk. A case was brought against her for leading a religious association, the activities of which involve other harm to the health of citizens, because of her participation in the activities of the religious group "Elle Ayat".
On 17 December 2021, the court sentenced her to a two-year suspended sentence. On appeal, this decision was cancelled and the case was sent for a new hearing. On 15 July 2025, the court passed the same sentence, but Makarova was released from punishment due to the expiration of the statute of limitations for criminal prosecution.
