Case summary
A resident of Mordovia. In September 2024, he was taken into custody on charges of organising the activities of an "undesirable organisation". According to the investigators' version, he was involved in the activities of an organisation related to the Falun Gong system of spiritual practices and "under the guise of sports sections he was recruiting young people and through the distribution of leaflets and bulletins of the organisation involved residents of Mordovia in it, after which he taught them spiritual gymnastics "qigong" and the ideology of the movement". On 18 December 2024, Maksinyaev was sentenced to 400 hours of compulsory labour.
