According to the investigation, in the summer and autumn of 2024, she "deliberately and unlawfully" failed to submit to the Ministry of Justice the reports required by the law on "foreign agents". Marokhovskaya has already been fined several times under the administrative article on violation of the procedure for "foreign agent" activities (Article 19.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences).

Full summary
Journalist, editor-in-chief of the publication "Important Stories", left Russia after the outbreak of war. Three times winner of the "Redkollegiya" award for her articles in Novaya Gazeta, Meduza and Vazhnye Istorii. In August 2021, she was included in the register of "foreign agents". On 5 December 2024, her parents were searched in connection with a case against her for evading her duties as a "foreign agent".
In October 2025, the court sentenced her in absentia to ten months of correctional labour.
