Case summary
A resident of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District. A case was brought against him for the destruction of an object commemorating those who died in defence of the Fatherland or its interests due to the fact that he tore up a poster with a portrait of a war dead man and the words "To the Hero of Russia". This poster was placed on her house by a local resident in memory of her son. It is noteworthy that the press service of the courts of the region, reporting on the verdict, kept silent about the fact that the poster was, in fact, dedicated to one single person. On 8 July 2025, Matveenko was sentenced to a fine of 30 thousand rubles.
