Case summary

Resident of the town of Berezniki (Perm Region). In May 2023, a case was brought against him for discrediting the armed forces of the Russian Federation. Mitrofanov was put on a federal wanted list. On 25 July he was detained and placed under house arrest on 27 July. On 16 August Mitrofanov was taken into custody. On 1 March 2024, Mitrofanov was sentenced to a fine of 200 thousand rubles.

In September 2025, a native of the Perm region with the same name, patronymic and surname was added to the list of extremists and terrorists of Rosfinmonitoring. Later it became known that two new cases were brought against him: public justification of terrorism and defamation of the Russian Armed Forces and repeated display of extremist symbols.

Mitrofanov was taken into custody.
