According to the defense, Myakiev's body showed signs of abuse. He had worsened a chronic condition while in custody. On July 17, Myakiev was beaten by the staff of Nalchik's Pre-trial Detention Center No. 1. His lawyers documented a hematoma under his eye.

The charge was reclassified to non-dangerous violence.

In October 2019, Myakiev was charged with defacing the property of the Nalchik detention center. The case was later put on hold since authorities were unable to locate the suspect.

On 22 April, the appeal court toughened the sentence, replacing the settlement colony with a general regime colony. Myakiev was released from court but was arrested in the evening of the same day, accused of escaping. It was later revealed that he had been placed in a pre-trial detention center.

In March 2021, it was revealed that the case of damage to the detention center's property had been reopened.

In January 2022, the court of cassation instance canceled the verdict of the case on the use of violence and sent it for a new review.

On June 15, he was sentenced to one and a half years in a general regime colony, the court considered the sentence served. The sentence was reduced by one month by the court of cassation instance on June 5, 2023.

On 28 November 2022, Myakiev was sentenced to six months of correctional labor in the case of property damage, but he was released since the statute of limitations had expired.
