Case summary
Resident of Lugansk (Ukraine). Candidate master of sports in boxing. On 30 September 2020, he was detained. For almost four months he was deprived of liberty without any procedural status. On 27 January 2021, he was declared a suspect in a case of high treason under the Criminal Code of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic. On 29 January, he was officially placed in custody. Nazlukhanyan was accused of collecting information on the sons of the then head of the Lugansk city administration Manolis Pilavov on the instructions of the Ukrainian special services, offering a former employee of the "General Prosecutor's Office of the 'LNR'" Manucharyan S. Yu. Yu. to use the SBU programme "You are welcome home" to leave the territory of the "LNR", and assisted in organising the criminal prosecution in Ukraine of officials of "New Technologies" LLC, registered and carrying out construction work in the territory of the "LNR". At the investigation stage, Nazlukhanyan admitted that he had given the SBU officers information about Pilavov's sons. At the trial, he stated that he had not passed any data. On 17 August 2021 Nazlukhanyan was sentenced to 13 years in prison. On 25 August 2023, the judge who presided over his case determined that Nazlukhanyan should serve his sentence in a strict regime colony.
