The case was initiated because of two publications - a repost of a mobilisation video with the title "For what and for whom are you going to fight and die?" and a post about the Kherson's surrender. In July 2022, Neverov was fined 30,000 rubles under the administrative article on discrediting the Russian army (Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences) because of his Facebook post.

Full summary
A resident of Tver. He was one of the leaders of the local protest movement, opposed the construction of a high-speed railway in the region, defended the institution of local self-government, and helped independent candidates. In autumn 2022, a case was brought against Neverov for discrediting the Russian army. In May 2023, masked law enforcers broke down the door to Neverov's flat and searched it. As a preventive measure, he was assigned a ban on certain actions. On 24 October 2024, the court dismissed the case due to the expiration of the statute of limitations.
