Case summary

A resident of Naberezhnye Chelny. A case was opened against him for discrediting the Russian Armed Forces. In March 2025, the case was submitted to court.

On 21 April, the Naberezhnye Chelny City Court sentenced Artem Parfenov to two years of suspended imprisonment with a three-year probation period and banned him from administrating websites for three years.

Parfenov was convicted due to three comments he made on "VKontakte" in autumn 2024. In two of them, he called Russian soldiers "orcs." In the third, he argued that attitudes towards the war do not depend on nationality.
