Case summary
Resident of Orenburg. Director of the historical and genealogical society "Odnodvorets". In 2022, a criminal case was brought against him for defamation of the Russian Armed Forces after he ripped off stickers with the letter Z made of St. George's ribbon and the inscription "We do not abandon our own" from the door of the reading room of the United State Archive of the Orenburg Region, and later published a video on social networks titled "How to tear off the letter 'Z' properly". On 13 January 2023, the court sentenced Pchelintsev to a fine of 100,000 rubles. Later, another case under the same article was brought against Pchelintsev. On 24 October 2024, the verdict was passed, the trial was held behind closed doors.
