Full wording of the charges
The pretext for the case was three anti-war posts in VK published in the summer of 2022. In the posts Roshchin characterised the ‘special military operation’ as war, military aggression and the policy of fascism. On 29 March 2022 the Lobnya City Court fined Roshchin 30,000 rubles ($327) under the administrative article on discrediting the army (Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences) for a solitary picket in front of the city administration building with the poster "MY COUNTRY YOU'RE CRAZY. UKRAINE FORGIVE ME FOR THE AGGRESSION".

Full summary
During the search on 15 March 2023 computers, phones and other equipment, as well as the flag of Ukraine, were seized from him. After interrogation, he was released on recognisance not to abscond. Since Roshchin is a member of the Territorial Election Commission (TEC) with the right of deciding vote, the resolution to initiate a criminal case against him was signed by the head of the Main Investigative Directorate for Moscow Region. On 3 August 2023, Roshchin was sentenced to a fine of 100,000 rubles.
