Daria Sergeyeva

The case was initiated because of her Instagram posts and anti-war rally on 24 February 2023. On the anniversary of the start of the full-scale war, Sergeeva created an unofficial memorial at the monument to the civil war heroes in Aramil. She brought carnations, a candle, a toy bear, and photo frames with portraits of Ukrainians who perished and an inscription "February lasts a year. So many sins cannot be washed away, there are not enough prayers." She published the photo on her Instagram. In November 2022, Sergeyeva was fined 15,000 roubles under the article of the Code of Administrative Offences on discrediting the army (Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences) because she posted a ballot for the September regional gubernatorial election with an inverted Ukrainian flag and a dove of peace on her Instagram story. On the ballot, it was also written, "No to war. Putin should be on trial <...> Glory to Ukraine, freedom to Russia! Freedom to political prisoners." In addition to the stories with the ballot, the protocol also mentioned another story and five posts by Sergeyeva.
