Case summary
Resident of the closed city of Zarechny in the Penza region, employee of a defence company. Taken into custody in January 2024 on charges of confidential co-operation with Polish intelligence. Supposedly claimed that he wanted to leave for Poland for fear of conscription. According to the investigation, he planned to hand over secret data about a regime facility in exchange for political asylum. The court reclassified the charge to attempted confidential co-operation. On 18 September 2024 Skrzhetuski was sentenced to three years and four months in a general regime colony.
