According to the investigation, "in January and September 2023, he posted comments of certain content in groups on the social network Vkontakte, in which he expressed a negative characterisation of servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation involved in the conduct of the special military operation, including those who had signed a contract". In October 2022, Solovyov was fined 30,000 rubles under the administrative article on defamation due to his comments on VKontakte, including for the comment "The Russian Ministry of Defence only writes fairy tales for suckers" under the post about "Ukrainian biolaboratories".
