Case summary

A resident of Kirov. In October 2023, a case was brought against her for organising and financing the activities of an "undesirable" organisation. According to the investigation, she organised the work of the Ukrainian organisations Spiritual Centre "Revival" and Vladimir Muntian's Charitable Foundation "Revival", recognised as "undesirable" in the Russian Federation, and together with four other women financed their activities. On 28 May 2025, Sorokina was sentenced to one year and seven months of suspended imprisonment with a probationary period of three years. On 24 July 2025, the appeal court increased the suspended sentence to two years and one month.
