Case summary

Lived in St. Petersburg, moved to Poland in 2023 under the repatriation programme. According to his daughter, he corresponded with people who called themselves Pentagon employees. Stalberg returned to St. Petersburg to receive money at a certain location for some assistance he allegedly provided to Pentagon employees. At the specified location, no later than 17 May 2024, he was detained. A case of confidential co-operation with a foreign state was brought against him. On 28 November 2024, Stalberg was sentenced to three years in a general regime penal colony.
