Case summary
Moscow resident, vascular surgeon. On 27 February 2024, he was detained in connection with the event in memory of Boris Nemtsov and the next day was arrested for 15 days under the article on disorderly conduct (Article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offences). Later, his sister reported that FSB officers had come to him in the special detention centre and threatened him with a criminal case under the extremist article. Then it became known that a case of financing extremist activities was brought against him because of donations to the Anti-Corruption Foundation. On 25 December 2024, Tishchenko was sentenced to four years in a general regime colony.
