At the end of May 2014, he was charged with incitement of ethnic hatred for publications on the website of the "Ataka" association. He was released under recognizance not to leave. At the end of October, a criminal case of organising an extremist organization was initiated and he was taken into custody. On 19 February 2016, he was released from pre-trial detention. On 23 May, he was given two and a half years' suspended sentence.
