Case summary
Resident of the Orel region. Detained in April 2024. A case of confidential co-operation with a foreign state was brought against him. According to the investigation, he communicated "with a person he believed to be a representative of Ukraine": it follows from the case file that under the guise of a "representative of Ukraine" Tolpygin was spoken to by a person on assignment from the FSB. On 15 July 2024, Tolpygin was sentenced to four years in a general regime penal colony.
