Andrei Vorobyov, governor of the Moscow region, said 185 drones were destroyed over the territory of the region across 16 municipalities. The man killed was 20 years old and died in the settlement of Radumlya. According to preliminary data, six other people were injured.
The injured were distributed as follows: one person in Pokrovskoye in the Volokolamsk district, two in Yadromino and Gorki in Istra, and three in Lyakhovo in the Domodedovo district. In Istra, ten private houses, outbuildings and two cars were damaged. In Pokrovskoye, the facade and windows of a house were damaged. One of the drones' targets was the Volodarskaya linear production and dispatch station (LPDS) in the Ramenskoye district, the largest oil depot in the Moscow region. This was reported by the outlet Astra, which geolocated photos and videos taken by eyewitnesses at the scene. The station is part of the structure of Transnefteprodukt, and its annual turnover reaches 3 million tonnes of oil products. The depot is linked by pipelines to Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo and Vnukovo. Astra noted that attacks on this station had not previously been reported. The authorities have not yet confirmed a fire at the oil depot.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that from the evening of October 5 to the morning of October 6, 650 drones were sent toward the Moscow region, most of them were shot down by air defense forces "at distant lines", and 105 drones were destroyed on the approach to Moscow.
Rosaviatsia restricted the arrival and departure of aircraft overnight at Vnukovo, Domodedovo, Zhukovsky and Sheremetyevo. At Sheremetyevo, restrictions were imposed twice. By seven in the morning, restrictions at all four airports had been lifted.
As The Moscow Times writes, a few days earlier, on October 2, the Ukrainian army struck Transneft's largest oil hub, the Samara LPDS. The facility, which includes 71 reservoirs with a total capacity of more than 1.6 million cubic meters of oil, is where four trunk oil pipelines converge. A fire broke out there after the attack. According to Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, four Russian refineries were attacked on the night of October 2 - he did not specify which facilities were hit, and noted that possible damage is being assessed at only one plant.
