Gazprom said the attack occurred at 7:51 p.m. on July 7 and was aimed at disrupting uninterrupted gas supplies to Turkey. The company reported damage to the facility and said repair work was underway, but that prompt measures had prevented any disruption to deliveries.
The operational headquarters of the Krasnodar region confirmed that debris from a downed drone fell in the village of Smolenskaya in the Seversky District, where the station is located. Regional authorities said the debris caused a fire on the territory of an industrial enterprise. No casualties were reported.
The Krasnodarskaya station is a Gazprom linear production complex that cleans, dries and compresses gas for further transportation, including via the Blue Stream pipeline and the internal Dzhubga–Lazarevskoye–Sochi system.
Gazprom facilities in southern Russia have been systematically targeted since late February, with compressor stations Russkaya, Beregovaya and Kazachya — which serve the TurkStream and Blue Stream pipelines — also coming under attack.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff did not mention the Krasnodarskaya station in its overnight strike summary, but Ukrainian monitoring channels listed it as a target.
