Unknown hackers breached the website of the Alabuga special economic zone in Tatarstan, where attack drones are manufactured, according to an archived copy of the page from June 27 that temporarily displayed a message from the underground group "Black Spark."
The message claimed that the hackers had worked inside the system for several months and downloaded a database of all employees, their relatives, residential addresses, and supply chain information. They also stated that they had left "hundreds of surprises in fresh batches of Gerans" and that these drones would explode when launched.
The underground group called the hack a response to the involvement of 15-year-old teenagers in drone assembly. "Right now there is a big commotion in Alabuga, their servers had to be physically disconnected, and FSB officers are checking everyone who might be involved in the system breach," the statement said.
These claims cannot be independently verified. Representatives of the Alabuga SEZ have not publicly commented. The site is currently operating normally.
The Alabuga SEZ is located in the Yelabuzhsky District of Tatarstan. Before the war, it developed as an industrial site with foreign residents and its own college, Alabuga Politekh. After Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, production of Shahed-type attack drones—called Geran-2 and Geran-3 in Russia—was set up on its territory for strikes against Ukraine. Journalists and human rights defenders have reported that college students were involved in the production work.
