A court in the Kemerovo region sentenced a 17-year-old teenager from the town of Belovo to four years in a juvenile correctional colony, finding him guilty of financing terrorism (Part 1.1 of Article 205.1 of the Russian Criminal Code), according to a statement from the regional Investigative Committee.
According to law enforcement, between November and December 2025 the teenager financed an unnamed organization banned in Russia. He transferred money through his account in one of the messaging apps, using the paid-reaction feature under posts on the channel. The outlet NGS42, citing sources, reported that the case involved paid reactions (so-called “stars”) on a Telegram channel of one of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) units.
The teenager was detained in spring 2026 and placed under house arrest during the investigation. It is not known whether he pleaded guilty.
