A district hospital in Naryan-Mar, the administrative center of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug, has begun offering fuel cards worth 1,000 rubles as a gift to those who complete a free reproductive health checkup, according to a post on the hospital's VKontakte page reported by Verstka.
The campaign, titled 'One Day for Family Health,' launched on June 22 and is set to run for two months. By that time, a fuel crisis had already spread across much of Russia.
Adults aged 18 to 49 are eligible to participate. 'For men — a urologist appointment, a full examination in just a few hours, the chance to detect hidden diseases at an early stage. For women — a gynecologist consultation, recommendations for pregnancy planning, and long-term reproductive health care,' the hospital's statement said.
Authorities plan to distribute a total of 100 fuel cards. As of July 10, 77 people — 46 men and 31 women — had received them.
