The post was published on April 4 in the public page "Contract for the SMO. Kaliningrad," which has two subscribers. It was placed alongside about 40 other posts advertising contract service.
The contract was offered by the organization "Rodina Geroev" (rodina-geroev.com). The site lists an address in Rostov-on-Don — 112 Sotsialisticheskaya Street, where the government of the Rostov region and other state bodies are located. The contact number is a mobile phone.
"Rodina Geroev" promises to arrange contracts for people up to 64 years old "with any experience," those with limited fitness for military service, those with criminal records, and those with debts — the company says it will help freeze and write off debts.
The organization has at least one other site — kontrakt-svo2025.ru — with the same address but a different phone number. The site rodina-geroev.com publishes the OGRNIP and INN linked to Alexander Chernyshov from the Rostov region, whose main line of business is listed as a personnel recruitment agency.
In the Rostov region, there is an autonomous non-profit organization "Rodina Geroev," but it is registered in the city of Aksai and has different details.
When journalists from the Polish outlet "Vot Tak!" called the listed number and asked why Navalny's image was used in the ad, they were told: "A random person. Looks like him, probably."
A company representative told the outlet "Agentstvo" that "it's a generated image" and that "of course this shouldn't have happened, but apparently something went wrong with the marketer's plan."
The post with Navalny's image was removed; the other posts remain.
Russian courts have previously repeatedly imposed punishments for posting photographs of Navalny online, treating it as displaying "extremist" symbols.
