Russia's Defense Ministry said its air defenses intercepted and destroyed 560 Ukrainian drones over 16 Russian regions, annexed Crimea, and the waters of the Azov and Black Seas since the evening of October 9. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said 25 drones heading for the capital were shot down during the morning.

In the Rostov region, Governor Yuri Slyusar said more than 100 drones were destroyed and suppressed over the territory. In Rostov-on-Don, several apartment and private houses were damaged, six people were wounded, two remain in hospitals in moderate condition, and one is receiving emergency surgical care.

An oil-loading terminal of NZNP, formerly known as Yug Rusi, caught fire in the city's Zheleznodorozhny district. The outlet Astra established this through an OSINT analysis of witness videos, and the Ukrainian monitoring channel Exilenova+ through data from the NASA FIRMS mapping platform. The governor confirmed the fire and the operation of air defenses without specifying which facility was burning. According to Astra, the terminal's design capacity is about 2.5 million tons per year; it handles transshipment of oil products from the Novoshakhtinsk refinery and other suppliers for export, and is also used to supply the Russian army with fuel.

A railway bridge was damaged, with train traffic halted in both directions before being restored by morning. In Bataysk, a drone struck an unoccupied high-rise in a residential complex, starting a fire there. In Azov, two vessels were damaged, with no dead or injured on board. From residents' footage, Astra established that a high-rise in the Donskaya Sloboda residential complex on Privokzalnaya Street in Rostov was damaged.

Sources differ: Governor Slyusar reported six injured in Rostov-on-Don, while Astra reported a fire at the NZNP oil-loading terminal. The governor confirmed the fire and the work of air defenses but did not specify which facility caught fire — data on the terminal is provided by the independent outlets Astra and Deutsche Welle and by monitoring channels, without official confirmation of the target of the strike.
