Russia's Justice Ministry on June 26 expanded its register of individuals and organizations designated as foreign agents. The updated list includes the human rights civil movement Crimea Solidarity, the Echo project, the Autonomous Movement media group, and sociologist Yelena Koneva.
According to the ministry, the basis for adding Crimea Solidarity to the registry was its dissemination of materials from a foreign agent. The ministry also said the movement had interacted with "participants of international terrorist organizations and state bodies..." — the wording on the ministry's website is cut off.
The foreign agent status was also assigned to the Echo project and the Autonomous Movement media group. Sociologist Yelena Koneva was added to the registry, the ministry said, because of her communication with foreign media.
