The musician's entry appeared in the ministry's federal wanted database, first spotted by Mediazona. Inclusion in the database means a criminal case has been opened against Prusikin.
The ministry did not specify under which article the case was opened. No other details were immediately available.
Little Big was formed in St. Petersburg in 2013. The group gained popularity outside Russia, with its music videos drawing millions of views on YouTube. In 2020, the band was due to represent Russia at the Eurovision Song Contest, but the event was canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic. The following year, the group declined to take part in the selection for Eurovision 2021.
After Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine began, Prusikin said Little Big would be based in Los Angeles. The musician said the band members condemn the actions of the Russian government and consider any war unacceptable.
Around the same time, Little Big released an anti-war music video, "Generation Cancellation." According to the band members, in the video they criticize war, propaganda and politics through visual scenes referencing the current situation. The group members said they adore their country but completely disagree with the war in Ukraine.
In January 2023, Russia's Justice Ministry added Prusikin to the register of so-called foreign agents. He has repeatedly been fined under protocols for violating "foreign agent" legislation.
