Russian forces struck Odesa overnight on July 15, killing three people and wounding three others, including two children, according to Odesa regional military administration head Oleh Kiper. The wounded were hospitalized in moderate condition.
The attack hit civilian infrastructure, Ukraine's State Emergency Service reported, destroying a warehouse at an enterprise and sparking a fire. Two trucks were damaged. A seven-story residential building and a gas pipeline were also affected.
Russia's Defense Ministry confirmed the strike, saying it targeted the ports of Odesa and Chornomorsk, where it claimed fuel storage tanks and loading facilities were damaged, along with a drone production workshop. The ministry also reported striking four cargo ships.
Ukraine's Air Force said Russia launched two Kh-59/69 guided missiles and 122 drones at Ukraine, of which Ukrainian air defenses shot down 101 drones.
One witness told local media the blast wave blew out her apartment windows and damaged the ventilation hood. According to the Telegram channel Dumskaya.Odesa.War in Ukraine, one of the dead was a worker insulating a building.
