Moscow Regional Governor Andrei Vorobyov reported that Ukrainian drones attacked the Moscow region overnight, with strikes hitting apartment buildings in Kubinka and Pavlovsky Posad.
In Kubinka, home to a military airfield and the Patriot Park exhibition center, a drone hit a multi-story residential building on Naro-Fominskoye Highway. Vorobyov said a fire broke out on the eighth and ninth floors. Ten people were evacuated from the building; no injuries were reported.
In Pavlovsky Posad, east of Moscow, a drone struck a residential building on 1 Maya Street. The Telegram channel Sota and the monitoring channel Exilenova+ reported a fire near vocational lyceum No. 111. The governor said there was no fire, but windows were blown out in eight apartments and residents were being evacuated. The outlet Astra, citing geolocation data, reported smoke rising near building No. 117 on 1 Maya Street.
In the Bogorodsky district, a drone strike caused a fire on the grounds of a factory in the village of Bolshoye Bunkovo, Vorobyov added, without specifying which enterprise was affected.
According to the governor, 56 drones were shot down over the Moscow region overnight. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported dozens of drones heading toward the capital. The total number of drones downed since midnight was at least 94.
Ukrainian drones also attacked a seaport in Sochi. Monitoring channels published footage of a fire; the Krasnodar region governor and the Sochi mayor did not report the attack.
Restrictions were introduced at Moscow airports overnight. According to Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia), they remain in effect at Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo.
