A parking lot next to a Wildberries logistics center in Yekaterinburg's Chkalovsky District caught fire after a drone attack, burning about 300 square meters and destroying several cars, according to Sverdlovsk Oblast Governor Denis Pasler and local media.
Pasler said the fire started from falling drone debris, adding that no economic or infrastructure facilities were damaged, people were evacuated, and there were no injuries. The fire was contained, he said.
Wildberries' press service told local outlet E1.ru that a planned evacuation was carried out in advance. The company said the logistics complex was not damaged but its operations were temporarily suspended, with plans to resume shortly.
Ukrainian Telegram channel Exilenova+ claimed the Wildberries warehouse was targeted by drones, calling the incident a "slight undershoot" but adding that the fate of the Yekaterinburg warehouse "is already sealed."
The Russian Athletics Championships, held at the Kalininets stadium in Yekaterinburg, were suspended due to the drone attack. The All-Russian Athletics Federation (ARAF) said participant safety was the top priority and promised to announce when the competition would resume.
Since July 18, Ukrainian forces have been striking Wildberries logistics centers. Over the past week, drone attacks hit warehouses in the Moscow region, Tambov Oblast, Krasnodar, Stavropol Krai, Leningrad Oblast, St. Petersburg, Voronezh, and annexed Crimea.
