The website of the Russian liberal party Yabloko was taken offline by a distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack on the morning of August 3, the party's press service said. The attack began at 10:30 Moscow time, and specialists needed several hours to restore the site's operation.

The site is now functioning normally again. The party linked the cyberattack to the launch of a donation collection drive for the elections, which had begun shortly before the attack.
