Case summary

Resident of Neftekamsk (Bashkortostan). On May 20, 2021, a criminal case was brought against him for coordination of activities of an extremist organization. On May 25th, he was given travel restrictions. Abdurakhmanov wrote an open letter to Putin in which he said that he and four other people in the same case were forced to confess under threat. On 3 August, he was transferred to custody and later to house arrest. On 6 June 2022, Abdurakhmanov was sentenced to a year and three months' suspended sentence.
