According to the investigation, "from 2014 to 2015, the accused voluntarily joined and participated in an armed formation operating in the territory of Ukraine, the activities of which are prohibited in the territory of the Russian Federation. During this period of time, from the shop of construction materials owned by him, he supplied goods free of charge to equip the base of the banned battalion, located near the checkpoint "Chongar". Also on a gratuitous basis provided a hotel owned by him in the town of Genichesk to accommodate the leaders of the illegal movement." "He selected people to participate in it [the Battalion], induced taxi drivers to transport members of the Battalion from their places of residence to duty in the village of Chongar free of charge." In 2014, he allegedly personally blocked the passage of vehicles carrying consumer goods to Crimea, which "harmed the economic and political interests of Russian citizens and threatened the national security of the Russian Federation".

Full summary
Resident of Genichesk (Kherson region of Ukraine). He was engaged in hotel business, owned a construction shop. Head of the representative office of the public organisation "Zemlyachestvo of Crimean Tatars". He supported Crimean Tatars who left Crimea after the occupation and organised a campaign for the release of Edem Bekirov, who was accused in the Russian Federation of manufacturing and storing explosives.
In April 2022, Ablyazov's wife was kidnapped and held for some time in the basement of Genichesk's 17th school. She was later released. On 4 September 2023, Ablyazov himself was detained. He was taken into custody on charges of participation in the activities of an illegal armed group in connection with his involvement in the Crimean Tatar Volunteer Battalion named after Noman Chelibidzhikhan. On 6 August 2024, Ablyazov was sentenced to three and a half years in a strict regime colony.
