Case summary
He was detained on 17 January 2023. A case was opened against him on charges of participation in an illegal armed formation in connection with involvement in the activities of the Crimean Tatar Volunteer Battalion named after Noman Chelebidzhikhan, whose involvement in any military actions has not been proven. On 20 April 2024, a court in Crimea sentenced Asanov to imprisonment, the term is unknown.
