Case summary
A resident of Yalta. In December 2024, the FSB reported that he was detained and taken into custody on charges of confidential co-operation with foreigners. According to the investigators' version, he passed data on the movements of the Russian military. On 3 April 2025, Akimov was sentenced to five years in a general regime colony. On 6 October 2025, the appellate court overturned the verdict and sent the case for a new trial. Akimov was reclassified the charge to treason. On 13 March 2026, he was sentenced to 18 years in a strict regime colony.
