In November 2014, while on Lenin Square in the Leninsky district of Ulyanovsk, in his speech at a rally he made statements containing calls to extremist activity and promoting hatred or enmity on the grounds of belonging to a social group, which grossly violated the principles of the constitutional order of the Russian Federation.

Full summary
Left Bloc activist Danil Alferyev was detained in Moscow on 22 August 2016 and sent to Ulyanovsk, where he is registered; he was released on his own recognisance. The investigation claims that since June 2016 he had been on the wanted list. A case of incitement to hatred was opened in connection with Alferiev's parody speech at a communist rally in Ulyanovsk. On 30 May 2017 the case was terminated at the investigation stage.
