Case summary

July 15th 2018 he was detained and July 17th arrested on charges of organising activities of an extremist organisation. On January 14th 2019, he was transferred under house arrest.

On December 13th 2019, sentenced to six years in a penal colony, taken into custody in the courtroom. On February 19th 2020, it became known that Alushkin was transferred to a pre-trial detention centre in Mordovia until the case was considered on appeal. On March 25th 2020, the court of appeal instance cancelled the verdict and returned the case for a new consideration. On March 30, he was released on personal recognizance. The prosecution appealed the decision, and on July 9 the court of cassation instance returned the case to the court of appeal instance. On September 16th, the appeal court commuted Alushkin's existing sentence to a four-year suspended sentence.
