Case summary
A resident of Yekaterinburg, a street artist. In September 2023, he was detained in Moscow a few days after he posted his work "Thoughts of a Child Under Fire" in the city. A report was drawn up on the young man under the article on disobedience to a police officer (Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences) and he was arrested for 15 days. Before he was released from the detention centre, a man in civilian clothes told him: "Listen, friend, if you don't leave after leaving the detention centre, you're fucked". After that, BFMTH was stopped several more times by law enforcers in different cities, and also he saw that he was followed. BFMTH left Russia. In early June 2024, his acquaintance, who lives in Perm, was summoned for questioning. She was asked questions about him and was told that a case had been brought against BFMTH for insulting the religious feelings because of the "Old Orders" graffiti in Perm, which depicted Patriarch Kirill. BFMTH was put on a wanted list.
