According to the version of law enforcement agencies, the detainee, using a profile in the social network VKontakte, "sent to the page of the website 'Immortal Regiment Online' an application containing the surname, first name and patronymic of Stepan Andreevich Bandera, as well as his photo" in May 2020.

A resident of the Novgorod region. When detained, a mobile phone and two aerosol guns, as well as a box with two cartridges for one of them were seized from the Novgorod resident. It is reported that in 2019 and 2020, the detainee was involved in criminal cases of vandalism and theft, but both of them were terminated.
