Case summary

A search of Bespalov's home discovered propaganda materials and flags bearing National Bolshevik Party symbols, as well as several issues of prohibited newspaper Limonka. On his computer, they found electronic version of the Limonka newspaper and artciled authored by Bespalov and published in Limonka and Duel newspapers. On 4 June 2012, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported that the Military Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Severomorsk Garrison had opened a criminal case under part 2 of article 282.2 of the Criminal Code (participation in the activities of an extremist organization); on 8 June 2013, the Severomorsk Garrison Military Court started the trial; on 24 June 2013, the Severomorsk Garrison Military Court started the trial. 2 article 282.2 part 2 of the Criminal Code (participation in the activities of an extremist organisation); on 8 June 2013, the trial began in the Military Court of the Severomorsk Garrison; on 24 June 2013, the Military Court of the Severomorsk Garrison found Northern Fleet officer Denis Bespalov guilty under part 2 article 282.2 part 2 of the Criminal Code (participation in the activities of an extremist organisation) and sentenced him to a fine of 75,000 roubles.
