Valery Bolshakov

On November 14, 2017, Bolshakov's apartment was searched. His electronics, prints and party lists of the Russian Labour Front, prints, a power of attorney in his sick mother's name, and documents related to a case of a physical assault on her in 2013 were confiscated. Bolshakov alleges that he was subjected to beatings during the search. Subsequently, he was taken for questioning at the investigative department of the Nakhimovsky district in Sevastopol. A lawyer appointed to him persuaded him to plead guilty to incitement to national hatred and calls for extremism in exchange for a suspended sentence. He was later released on recognizance not to leave.

On February 21, 2019, the charge of incitement to hatred was dropped, and it was revealed that Bolshakov faced accusations related to incitement against the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation.

On June 11, 2019, Bolshakov received a two-and-a-half-year probation sentence. On August 26, the appellate court returned the case to the prosecutor's office.

On October 26, 2020, he was once again sentenced to a two-and-a-half-year suspended sentence.

Finally, on July 15, 2024, Bolshakov was excluded from the list its blacklist of "terrorists and extremists", which is maintained by Russia’s Federal Financial Monitoring Service.
