Case summary

Resident of Moscow, allegedly homeless. He was tried on charges of two thefts, released on 4 August 2023. On 18 November 2023, he was detained and sent to custody on 20 November in a criminal case filed over pouring liquid into the Eternal Flame and scattering memorial wreaths. On 3 June 2024, Bovtunov was sentenced to two years in a strict regime colony. In November 2025, presumably, he was released.
