Case summary
A resident of Moscow. A tutor. A former top manager of MTS, PricewaterhouseCoopers, RBC. A marketing specialist. On 10 April, 2025, he was detained and sent under house arrest the next day in a case of spreading deliberately false information about the Army Forces of the Russian Federation. According to the TV channel "Beware of the News" ('Ostorozhno, Novosti'), the reason was some anti-war posts, but it is not known which ones.
In August, the case was taken to court for consideration on the merits. In September, the court returned the case to the prosecutor's office, after which Bozhovsky's charges were toughened, adding a hate motive. In November, the court suspended the case because Bozhovsky absconded.
