Andrey Bubeev

Resident of the Tver region. In the winter of 2015, a case of incitement to ethnic hatred was opened against Bubeev following a statement by one of the participants in a dispute on social networks about the events in Ukraine. The formal reason was the posting of the anti-Semitic film "Eternal Jew" on Bubeev's page, but the film was not included in the case files. Among the publications included in the case were a photo of a cemetery with a text about mass graves of people who fought on the territory of Ukraine, a video entitled "Russian tanks and armoured vehicles, a large column of fascist aggressors on the border with Ukraine", Andrey Shipilov's note that "the majority of those Russians who do not approve of Putin, at the same time with a huge dislike for Ukrainian nationalist-Banderites", and instructions on how to kill with a knife. All publications were reposts without any comments of Andrey's own.

Bubeev evaded the investigation and was put on a federal wanted list on 27 April 2015. Family members were put under surveillance. Bubeev's wife was put matches in the lock and unscrewed plugs from the switchboard in the entrance. FSB operatives called everyone whose phone numbers were in Bubeev's address book and informed them that he had committed a crime. Each acquaintance was told different things: some were told about murder, others about robbery, rape, terrorism.

Bubeev's wife was threatened and forced to go to the Investigative Committee for questioning, and, according to her, they attributed things to her that she had not said.

On 24 May 2015, Bubeev visited his wife and son at their cabin. In the evening of the same day, special forces raided the place (according to his wife, the operatives received a call from neighbours). During the search, they found 56 live cartridges, which were of a calibre suitable for his hunting carbine, but were banned for civilian circulation. Bubeev claims that he found them at a shooting range on the territory of an abandoned military unit.

Bubeev was sent to a pre-trial detention centre. His wife was repeatedly denied visits. Bubeev pleaded guilty and entered into an agreement with the investigation. On 28 August 2015, he was sentenced to a year in a penal colony.

After the sentence, Bubeev was sent to a special block of the pre-trial detention centre, from where he was regularly sent to the punishment cell. Instead of sending him to a penal colony, a new case was brought against him - again for posts on social networks, under articles on calls for extremist activity and violation of the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation. The reason for the case was the publication of Boris Stomakhin's article "Crimea is Ukraine!", as well as a picture with toothpaste and the inscription "Squeeze Russia out of you!", accompanied by the text about the need to destroy Russia. On 5 May 2016, Andrey Bubeev was sentenced to two years and three months in a "colony-settlement", taking into account the previous term. In December 2016, due to alleged breaches of discipline, Bubeev was transferred by court decision to a general regime colony. On 23 August 2017, he was released.

In September 2025, Bubeev was added to the list of extremists and terrorists of Rosfinmonitoring, the details are unknown.
