Case summary

A coalman, a resident of Prokopyevsk (the Kemerovo region). On 12 July 2020, his house was searched because he appeared a witness in the case of another resident of Prokopyevsk, Andrei Vlasov, accused of organising activities of an extremist organisation. On 10 November Chernykh was searched again, this time as a suspect in the case of participation in the activities of an extremist organisation. On 26 April 2022, he was given a covenant not to leave. On 28 September 2023 Chernykh was sentenced to three years of forced labour.
