Case summary
A resident of Krasnodar Krai. On 29 April 2020, his home was searched, and he was questioned as a witness; it is not known in connection with which case. In April 2023, he was added to the Rosfinmonitoring list (list of people who are working as or are involved with terrorists or extremists). On 18 April 2024, it was reported that he had been detained on charges of involvement in the activities of an extremist organization due to his association with the Jehovah's Witnesses community. Members of this community are prosecuted under extremist laws solely for religious activities: holding meetings, worship services, and recruiting new members. In November 2024, a website dedicated to the persecution of Jehovah's Witnesses reported that Davydenko was being held in a 10-bed cell with 14 other people. On 25 February 2025, Davydenko was sentenced to four years and two months in a general regime colony.
